SummaryResponsible for performing routine maintenance. Completes basic and major preventative and corrective maintenance and troubleshoots minor equipment maintenance problems involving electrical, plumbing, and equipment repair or replacement. Assists on projects assigned to the department, administrates cosmetic repairs to the facility finishes, and assists in all areas of facilities maintenance as directed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Routine inspections of all lighting throughout the property, identifying and resolving potential problems.
- Respond to maintenance requests and in‑house calls within the designated time frame.
- Maintain pool facilities (if they exist at the property) as assigned.
- Work independently and advise the supervisor of additional assistance needed.
- Maintain a neat, clean, and organized work area in the engineering shop.
- Prepare daily work forms.
- Maintain a working knowledge and understanding of all rules, regulations and controls.
- Adhere to safety policies and procedures and OSHA regulations.

Education and/or Experience- High school diploma or general education degree (G.E.D.) preferred.
- Must have working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, air conditioning maintenance, Rational Combination Ovens, Ice Machines, and Chiller Plants.
- Prefer 2–5 years of experience with a significant combination of vocational education, apprentice training, or on‑the‑job training.
- HVACR Certification, EPA I & II or Universal license, Certified Pool Operator preferred.
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
- Must successfully complete a physical abilities test for essential functions of this job, including a color‑blindness test to distinguish color.
- Position requires a Level 4 Gaming License.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as policy and procedure manuals, maintenance instructions, and other related documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries from other employees or guests.
Mathematical SkillsAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning AbilityAbility to apply common sense reasoning to a variety of situations.
Physical Demands- Regularly required to talk or hear.
- Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls.
- Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
- Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Regularly required to climb a twelve (12) foot ladder.
- Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Regular exposure to risk of electrical shock and danger of exposure to chemicals used in maintenance of the property.
- Noisy environment; typically smoky casino setting.
- Must successfully complete screening for essential job functions.
