Overview
Retail Store Management Trainee to join our Team. This role is designed for external retail assistant managers and store managers interested in “fast-tracking” into a Store Management position. This role requires a minimum of 1 year retail management experience.
Compensation$13.50 to $23.00 per hour. Our retail sales associates can earn UP TO 8% on transactions, which could average an additional $1.00 per hour on top of your hourly rate.

We are seeking a Store Manager Trainee with a minimum of six months of Store Management experience. A Store Manager Trainee is accountable for the day-to-day operations of the store and promoting a positive/productive environment. This role partners with the Store Manager to lead and develop store employees, recruit and retain top talent, maximize financial goals, and manage customer relations and satisfaction.
This position sets the tone for a customer-centric environment.
Alongside the Store Manager, this position analyzes store financial statements to ensure goals are met. You will commit to the company’s asset protection program, promote the business, and target new customer acquisitions. Employees work with a wide variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more.
This position offers an hourly wage plus commission based on productivity and a bonus based on store performance. Actual pay depends on location, qualifications, and experience.
Responsibilities- Facilitate a customer-centric environment by engaging customers professionally and addressing issues promptly.
- Monitor and assist in the training of Pawnbrokers to meet First Cash standards.
- Recruit top talent by sourcing candidates through prescribed channels.
- Open and close the store, count cash drawers and merchandise, and follow procedures to protect assets.
- Ensure asset protection through inventory control and safety procedures.
- Administer store processes including inventory, loan management, merchandising, store presentation, systems, and reporting.
- Evaluate financial statements and drive profitability through communication and goal-setting.
- Ensure operating standards meet or exceed First Cash standards.
- Monitor loan qualification and buying processes to maintain value and integrity of loans.
- Complete assigned tasks and training for self-development.
- Communicate clearly to ensure staff understands the store’s mission and profit objectives.
- Stay up-to-date on product knowledge.
- Assistant Store Manager acts as manager on duty in the absence of the Store Manager.
- Other related duties as assigned.
- Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to perform duties for extended periods (standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, lifting) as required by law.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively supervise others.
- Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified.
