Retail Assistant Store Manager
We are seeking a Retail Assistant Store Manager to join our team. Compensation ranges from $13.50 to $18.50 per hour
. We offer a commission structure that pays you for every transaction you process. Our retail sales associates can earn up to 8% on transactions, which could average an additional $4.05 per hour on top of your hourly rate.

Position Summary
Assistant Store Manager with a minimum of six (6+) months of management or 3rd key experience. Responsible for day-to-day store operations, promoting a positive environment, partnering with the Store Manager to lead and develop staff, recruit and retain talent, maximize financial goals, and manage customer relations and satisfaction. This role helps set a customer-centric tone and may require analyzing store financial statements to meet goals.
Must support asset protection, promote the business, and target new customer acquisitions. Employees work with a variety of jewelry, general merchandise, tools, electronics, and firearms in FFL locations.
This position offers an hourly wage plus commission based on productivity and a bonus based on store performance. Actual pay depends on location, qualifications, and experience.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate a customer-centric environment by engaging customers professionally and addressing issues promptly.
- Monitor and assist in training Pawnbrokers to meet First Cash standards.
- Recruit top talent through company-prescribed channels.
- Open and close the store, manage cash drawers and merchandise, and ensure asset protection procedures are followed.
- Maintain asset protection through inventory control and safety procedures.
- Administer store processes including inventory, loan management, merchandising, store presentation, store systems, and reporting.
- Evaluate financial statements and drive profitability through communication and goal setting.
- Ensure operating standards meet or exceed First Cash standards.
- Monitor loan qualification and buying processes to maintain value and integrity of loans.
- Complete assigned tasks and self-development training as requested.
- Communicate clearly with employees to align with store mission and profit objectives.
- Stay up-to-date on product knowledge.
- Act as manager on duty in the absence of the Store Manager.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications
- Must be willing and able to perform duties for extended periods, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting, in accordance with applicable laws.
- Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise others.
- Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified.
- May be asked to assist customers in exterior areas or retrieve products stored outside.
- Minimum Age: 18 years old
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
- Ability to work in multiple locations as business needs dictate.
- Flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Assistant Store Managers will work 40+ hours per week; hours are not guaranteed.
