Equipment Operator

• Operate heavy equipment, including excavators, bulldozers, and the like to complete a myriad of job tasks.
• Take actions to avoid potential hazards or obstructions, such as utility lines, other equipment, other workers, or falling objects.
• Come to job site with appropriate clothing, work boots, and with your PPE given to you the date you were hired.
• Be cognizant of underground services, such as pipes or wires prior to beginning work, and be cautious of their locations throughout the work day.
• Read job plans to ensure a thorough knowledge of the job at hand.
• Complete a “Daily Equipment Checklist” form before beginning work.
• Checking all equipment fluids prior to starting the work day.
• Check fuel supplies of all equipment at job site on a daily basis - prior to beginning work, and before completing work, to ensure that equipment is ready to operate at any time.
• Learn and follow safety regulations.
• Participate in safety training as required.
• Work well with a crew of several other operators, a crew foreman, and a job superintendent.

• Prior heavy equipment operation is necessary.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must be able to travel for work throughout the Southeast.
• Any safety certifications / accreditations a plus.

Compensation is dependent upon experience, certifications, and qualifications. This is a full time position which allows for overtime opportunities. Benefits start after 90 days from the hire date.
