Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School is seeking a gastroenterologist to serve as Clinical Director of Gastroenterology and oversee the clinical operations of the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, ensuring high-quality care, operational efficiency, and strategic alignment with the organization’s goals.

Responsibilities
  • Manage gastroenterologists’ clinical performance and activities, oversee clinical staff, develop and implement clinical strategies, and improve patient outcomes through collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Interface regularly with other GI sections, the Department of Medicine, and hospital leadership to fulfill the Division’s vision and strategic goals.
  • Foster clinical research and educational initiatives, ensure adherence to best practices, and support opportunities to develop and expand personal clinical research interests.
  • Maintain an active gastroenterology practice, participate in fellowship education, and contribute to the overall academic mission of the Division, with opportunities to focus on a clinical interest area.
  • Candidates must be board-certified gastroenterologists with leadership experience in academic or clinical settings.
