Individual Support Worker

Join Owen Health Care Inc as a Part‑Time Individual Support Worker and help positively impact children and adolescents with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You will travel to their homes in Dayton, NJ, and collaborate with families and professionals.

• Implement individualized service plans for children and adolescents.
• Provide behavioral interventions in home and community settings.
• Assist behavioral therapists in creating effective therapy programs.
• Ensure a safe and supportive environment by developing safety standards and teaching positive behaviors.
• Monitor and document observations of youth behavior, adjusting activities to meet therapeutic goals.
• Develop and lead engaging recreational activities that support emotional and social growth.

• College degree with at least one year of relevant work experience, or a High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of three years of supervised experience in positive behavior support and teaching ADL/Instrumental skills to individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for building relationships with children and families.
• Ability to work independently while following established protocols and guidelines.
• Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for supporting children and adolescents.
• Prior experience in behavioral interventions and a commitment to ongoing professional development are highly valued.
