Job Summary

Team Lead – Liquid Compounding

Location:

Dayton, NJ

Shift: Midnight Shift – 11:30 pm‑7:50 am, Monday‑Friday

• Lead and assure the full implementation of safety and food safety standards within all production units.
• Understand all aspects of the process; make and fill batches as per specification.
• Coordinate and maintain proper process flow.
• Lead and motivate work crew to ensure daily production targets are achieved.
• Provide training and re‑training to chemical operators to ensure team meets job requirements.
• Collaborate with the quality department to monitor manufacturing processes and ensure final product meets specification.
• Participate in investigation of deviation events related to production and align with the quality team on proper CAPA.
• Ensure compliance with all internal and external food production regulations and legislation.
• Ensure all production documents are maintained per retention policy.
• Ensure all tools, equipment, and production devices are maintained, calibrated, and in best condition; communicate with Maintenance to ensure uptime.
• Communicate with Warehouse personnel to request/satisfy any inquiry related to production department.
• Identify and facilitate implementation of continuous improvement (6S) projects inside production.
• Stand in for Senior Team Lead, leading shop floor when needed.

• Ability to deliver presentations in a small group setting.
• Read, collect, and analyze analytical data from process‑based areas to help make process‑flow decisions; utilize analytical lab equipment such as particle size analyzer, pH meter, densitometer, etc.
• Upon completion of batches, ensure timely back flushing of materials to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Operate electric and/or gas sit‑down and electric reach trucks as required.
• Good working knowledge of GMPs, HACCP, SAP, Excel, inventory control and maintain highest levels of sanitation in and around work area.
• Push/pull 400‑pound drums and lift 50‑pound bags as required.
• Compare information on ZFIS to ensure proper packaging and material quantity against customer orders.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2–5 years of experience in a Food or Chemical manufacturing plant.
• Familiar with OSHA requirements.
• Experience in a process manufacturing environment.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks.
• Experience in continuous improvement projects.
• Knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office programs.
• Good computer and mobile device skills.

• SAP experience preferred.
• Experience in a process manufacturing environment.
• Worked with handling of Food‑type products.
• Mechanical knowledge.

Salary Ranges: $54,000–$67,500
