Overview
Packaging Operator I is an entry-level position in the packaging department at Avet Pharmaceuticals Inc. This role is responsible for performing packaging procedures, operating packaging equipment, and following company SOPs, cGMP guidelines, and all environmental, health, and safety requirements to maintain high standards of compliance and quality during operations.

Packaging Operator I is an entry-level position responsible for packaging tasks in accordance with the packaging batch records and established procedures.
Reporting Relationships- This position has no direct reports.
- This position works under constant supervision.
- Complete the following packaging tasks as required.
- Operate assigned packaging equipment, including startup/shutdown following established procedures.
- Move and prepare materials for packaging.
- Ensure packaging components match setup requirements.
- Perform filling, capping, labeling, and packing functions per the packaging batch record.
- Complete equipment cleaning according to SOPs and established requirements.
- Perform basic mechanical tasks, including light troubleshooting and identifying routine issues.
- Follow all applicable safety guidelines while operating equipment.
- After one year of experience and consistently satisfactory performance, train new Packaging Operators I employees without experience.
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and maintain a clean, sanitary workplace.
- Be willing to perform other duties as assigned.
- Report unsafe conditions, near misses, and injuries in a timely manner.
- Basic mathematical skills.
- Basic mechanical abilities.
- Ability to speak, read and write in English.
- Ability to complete departmental SOPs, GMP, and any required qualifications.
- Ability to work in a team.
- Good dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
- Walking, standing, and ability to move or lift up to 50 lbs.
- Follow all GMP guidelines and report unsafe conditions in a timely manner.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
The role requires standing for extended periods; frequent walking, sitting, using hands, talking, and hearing. Occasional reaching, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and lifting up to 50 pounds may be required. Vision requirements include close, distance, and color vision. Reasonable accommodations may be provided to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.

Compensation and BenefitsCompensation:
This is a non-exempt position that pays $17.50 per hour. The pay represents the base hourly rate and this position is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.
