Overview
The Children’s School (TCS) is looking for a part-time Assistant Teacher to join our welcoming, small, supportive preschool community. We are a five-star program where teachers and children learn, play, and explore together, supported by an engaged parent community. We’re excited to welcome a caring, enthusiastic educator who enjoys being outdoors as much as indoors, beginning and ending their day outside, and guiding open-ended learning alongside children.
Ideal candidates have experience in early childhood education and are qualified as a Teacher, Teacher Associate, or Teacher Assistant (per the Child Development Division). This position is Fridays, 8:15-1:15pm and either Mondays or Thursdays 8:15-1:15pm, beginning as soon as possible through June 17, 2026, with paid, scheduled breaks around February and Spring Break. There may also be opportunities to work in our summer camp program and return in Fall 2026.
The hours are family/college-friendly and designed to support a healthy work–life balance. At TCS, learning is play-based and inspired by the seasons, children’s curiosity, and hands-on exploration. Our South Burlington campus features a cozy, inviting classroom and a beautiful outdoor space.
