Job Purpose:
- The Laundry Attendant at is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of linens, towels, and other laundry items to provide guests with a comfortable and pleasant stay. This full-time position requires attention to detail and a commitment to quality service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain laundry equipment, including washers and dryers ensuring they are in good working condition.
- Sort, wash, dry, and fold linens, towels, and other laundry items according to established procedures and standards.
- Inspect laundered items for stains, tears, and wear, ensuring that only items meeting quality standards are distributed for guest use.
- Maintain inventory of laundry supplies and request replenishment as needed to ensure uninterrupted operations.
- Follow safety and hygiene protocols to maintain a clean and organized laundry area.
- Collaborate with housekeeping staff to ensure timely delivery of clean linens and towels to guest rooms and other hotel facilities.
- Report any maintenance issues or equipment malfunctions to the supervisor for prompt resolution.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, maintaining a professional demeanor and providing excellent service to guests and colleagues.
Required
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Required Experience:
- Previous experience in a similar role within a hotel or hospitality setting is preferred.
- Experience with commercial laundry equipment is advantageous.
Required
Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to operate and maintain laundry equipment efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy loads.
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to laundry operations.
- Effective communication skills to interact with team members and guests.
