The Senior Manufacturing Technician is responsible for supporting the build operations for innovative electric aircraft components from hands‑on assembly, training new teammates and process development. As a Senior Manufacturing Technician at Beta Technologies, you will work in a small team environment to perform daily hands‑on production assembly tasks while also devoting time to refining manufacturing processes and continuously improving quality and throughput to align with high‑level business goals.

You will work closely with your peers to thread design changes from ongoing product development efforts seamlessly into existing build processes. You will be challenged every day and probably have a lot of fun.

How you will contribute to revolutionizing electric aviation:
  • Hands‑on assembly of electric powertrain components (Motors, Battery Packs, Inverters, Electrical Assemblies, Harnesses)
  • Developing and maintaining a deep understanding of the manufacturing processes as the key process owner
  • Performing in‑process quality control inspection tasks, feeling comfortable identifying and raising concerns about process deviations, and being an integral part of any troubleshooting efforts to solve them
  • Maintaining accurate and clear manufacturing documentation in compliance with both internal and external quality systems or regulations. Documentation to include up‑to‑date assembly process documentation as well as process data (fastener torque, electrical checks, etc.). The candidate should have a drive for an organization that build processes and manufacturing data can easily be audited.
  • Performing regular inspection, cleaning, and servicing of manufacturing equipment along with routine and preventative maintenance to keep operations running flawlessly
  • Providing regular productivity reports, and incident reports as needed
  • Using all mandated safety equipment and complying with all safety requirements per company and government regulations and guidelines
  • Support teammates and help resolve issues on the production line including:
    Solve part availability and deliver Issues, Correct PLEX roadblocks, Initiate Quality Notifications and support closure of Non‑Conforming Reports
  • Training new teammates
  • Promote best safety practices
  • Assist in Production Data collection
  • 5s Implementation and adhering to standards,
  • Equipment Maintenance Program adherence
  • FOD Program best practice adherence
  • Assist in Type and Production Certification Process
  • Working Collaboratively with Manufacturing Engineering
  • Research and development Special Project Support
  • CRB Design change involvement and design making
  • Performing other work‑related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 5+ years experience working in a manufacturing setting or a Two‑year degree or certificate from an accredited two (2) year college, university, or technical school preferred
  • Knowledge of, and ability to apply, the principles of Six Sigma/Continuous Improvement, Lean 5S and Kanban preferred
  • Ability to assist in problem analysis and independent decision‑making
  • Ability to operate hand and power tools
  • Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and schematics of battery/electronic components
  • High Voltage assembly experience preferred, especially related to DC energy storage systems.
  • Good team communication skills required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite, Word, Excel, Power Point

Qualifications:
  • Aerospace Industry Manufacturing Experience
  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical equipment and machines
  • Previous Computer‑Aided Design (CAD) experience
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
  • Ability to lift 25lbs
  • Can be on their feet 8 hours a day
