Senior Tax

Reid Accountants + Advisors, an independent full‑service accounting and advisory firm, is hiring a Senior Tax Associate to join our tax team in Columbia or Lexington, South Carolina.

As an integral part of our tax team, you will oversee and coordinate tax compliance and advisory services for a diverse client base. You will demonstrate exceptional technical expertise, communicate effectively with clients and team members, and consistently deliver outstanding client service.

• Develop and maintain a strong understanding of current tax laws, regulations, and procedures.
• Assist in the preparation and review of complex tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts.
• Identify tax planning opportunities and develop strategies to minimize tax liabilities.
• Foster positive client relationships through clear communication and exceptional service.
• Stay updated on industry developments and participate in continuing education opportunities.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or taxation (required).
• CPA (preferred).
• At least 3–5 years of experience in a CPA firm, with 5 years of supervisory experience.
• Experience using CCH (Axcess preferred), Checkpoint, Microsoft Office Suite, and Intuit products (preferred).
• Ability to work independently and inspire a team to drive results through efficiencies.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Able to provide positive feedback, constructive direction through proper coaching and mentoring.
• Strong attention to detail and time management.
• Ability to prioritize and assign tasks based on team skill set.
• High degree of decision making.
• Consistent communication with Partner, Client, and team to ensure desired results are timely, accurate, and positively perceived.

Full‑time

9:00 AM – 5:30 PM (Hybrid schedule with increased hours during busy seasons)

Columbia or Lexington, South Carolina. This position is initially remote, but it will transition to a hybrid role requiring in‑office presence 3 days per week once our South Carolina office is established. Candidates must be willing and able to relocate to the Columbia or Lexington, SC area to be considered for the role.

Competitive salary range: $80 K – $95 K annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
