A dynamic construction organization seeks a highly motivated and experienced Senior Accountant to join its growing finance team. This unique role involves applying accounting expertise in a fast‑paced environment, emphasizing construction industry practices, integrity, accuracy, and confidentiality.

• Oversee and manage all general ledger activity, ensuring accuracy and timeliness, including entries, financials, income statement, monthly reporting, balance sheet, and fixed asset accounting.
• Manage the preparation and distribution of internal financial statements and reports, maintaining the highest quality, reliability, and accuracy.
• Develop and maintain financial accounting systems for cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control, and petty cash.
• Monitor and review accounting and related system reports for accuracy and completeness.
• Prepare and review budget, revenue, expense, payroll entries, invoices, and other accounting documents.
• Analyze revenue and expenditure trends and recommend appropriate budget levels, ensuring expenditure control.
• Analyze and interpret financial data and recommend changes to improve systems and financial performance.
• Understand and adhere to financial regulations and legislation.
• Supervise the input and handling of financial data and reports for the company’s automated financial systems.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 + years of experience in accounting, preferably in the construction industry.
• Comprehensive knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
• Proficiency in relevant accounting software, such as GL, and experience with fixed assets.
• Excellent mathematical skills and attention to detail.
• Strong organizational, problem‑solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow.
• Ability to effectively communicate with all levels within the organization.
• Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams.
• Professional written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to meet a constant stream of deadlines.
• Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively with different levels of employees.
• Superior analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
