Tax and Accounting Manager Columbia, SC (Hybrid)

Someone who still enjoys being close to the work. Who understands the detail. Who can sit with a client, talk through the numbers, spot issues early, and explain solutions in plain English.

This role sits right at the heart of the firm. You will oversee tax compliance, planning, and accounting work across a varied client base – individuals, trusts, partnerships, corporations, and multistate work.

You will review, guide, problem‑solve, and lead. Not from a distance, but properly involved. If you like having ownership and being trusted to run your work, this will suit you.

• Leading tax planning, preparation, review, compliance, and research
• Hands‑on review of 1040s, 1041s, 1120s, 1065s, and multistate returns
• Applying current tax law and regulatory developments to real client situations
• Advising clients on planning opportunities and risks
• Coordinating more complex accounting projects with the wider team
• Reviewing engagement work papers and keeping partners informed
• Planning engagements, scheduling work, and managing staff requirements
• Supervising and developing staff accountants through feedback and support
• Identifying opportunities to improve processes and add value for clients

• CPA license
• Strong experience across tax and accounting
