Job Overview
The Student Assistant, Human Resources Employment will work closely with the Human Resources Employment, Classification and Compensation staff on projects to support the Employment and Class & Comp areas. Projects will include the use of Excel and Word, internet searches and maintenance of both electronic and physical files. Must be intermediate level or above user of Excel and Excel functions. The student will also welcome visitors, answer the phone, and provide basic support needed based on the visitor/caller when in the Human Resources reception area.
Responsibilities- Assist with projects in Employment, Classification and Compensation areas.
- Use Excel and Word for data entry and documentation.
- Conduct internet searches and maintain electronic and physical files.
- Welcome visitors, answer phones, and provide basic support in the HR reception area.
- Currently enrolled student at USC Upstate.
- Must be able to work a minimum of 2 hours per shift.
- Intermediate level or above user of Excel.
- Maintain confidentiality in a professional environment.
- Exemplary communication, attention to detail, and professionalism.
Location:
USC Upstate, Spartanburg, SC
Hours:
10–15 hours per week (between 10:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., scheduled based on availability and need).
Pay: $10.00 per hour
