Where we need you

• Identifies savings initiatives within the commodity and drives prioritized initiatives.
• Verifies that RFQ documentation is accurate and complete, allowing suppliers to provide accurate quotations and to build to specifications.
• Identifies and selects vendor to procure requisitioned commodities, meeting criteria such as price, quantity, and quality.
• Obtains and analyzes quotes to determine best value, then recommends to respective Global Commodity Manager.
• Manages solutions based on data and facts collected.
• Enables competition, including potential from BCC sourcing.
• Responsible for planning and execution of price negotiations, including change‑management activities, commercial target setting, and achievement.
• Owns the relationship to key vendors and cooperates to develop them into strategic partners.
• Acts as the single point of contact for suppliers.
• Takes lifecycle responsibility for affected parts in the Commodity portfolio, from strategic sourcing through operational procurement to supplier management.
• Supervises capacities at suppliers.
• Scouts for innovations (technologies / suppliers) and delivers market input to internal strategic planning departments.
• Ensures compliance with corporate sourcing policy and procedures.
• Maintains standard work documentation.

• Plus 5 years experience in progressive purchasing positions.
• Comprehensive understanding of economics, both domestic and worldwide, and global political issues.
• Professional maturity with strong communication skills in both oral and written modes.
• Membership in related professional organizations is encouraged.

4‑Year degree preferred; high‑school diploma or GED plus applicable experience required.
