Summary
Summary Looking for a Child Care Co-Teacher to help with development of children. We are a Christian daycare facility that believe in teaching caring and preparing for all our children. We are one big family working together. Join the team
Duties- Support children's emotional and social development, encouraging understanding of others and positive self-concepts.
- Sanitize and clean toys and play equipment.
- Identify signs of emotional or developmental problems in children and bring them to parents' or guardians' attention.
- Observe and monitor children's play activities.
- Keep records on individual children, including daily observations and information about activities, meals served, and medications administered.
- Instruct children in health and personal habits, such as eating, resting, and toilet habits.
- Read to children and teach them simple painting, drawing, handicrafts, and songs.
- Organize and store toys and materials to ensure order in activity areas.
- Maintain a safe play environment.
- Communicate with children's parents or guardians about daily activities, behaviors, and related issues.
- Assist in preparing food and serving meals and refreshments to children.
- Create developmentally appropriate lesson plans.
- Regulate children's rest periods.
- Perform general administrative tasks, such as taking attendance, editing internal paperwork, and making phone calls.
- Organize and participate in recreational activities and outings, such as games.
- Supervising, teaching, helping, pray, sing and interact with children.
- Help children with emotions.
- Create learning lessons.
- Prepare the material for the lesson plans.
- Diapers changing and potty training.
- Maintain daily routine.
- Proper food administration.
- Talk, read, and sing to and with the children about Jesus.
- Give hugs, smiles, and cuddles.
- Demonstrate kindness, patience, and fun.
- Must be reliable and flexible.
- Perform duties and additional tasks requested by supervisor.
- Communicate with parents about child’s day.
- Praise Jesus with children.
- Maintain cleanliness of room and center.
- Clean and help clean room and center.
Must pass all screening requirement per DSS, and background check. All staff must have completed the equivalent of a high school diploma, obtain 15 hours of continuing education every year. At least 6 months of experience working in a child care setting.
Nice To HavesInfant / child CPR and First Aid certification is a plus.
