General Description

Responsible for safely and efficiently operating a loader with a broom attachment in order to maintain a clean job site.

• Operate a loader with broom attachment.
• Ability to operate equipment efficiently.
• Perform daily safety checks of fluid levels on oil, water, fuel and inspections for leaks and damage to vehicle before operation.
• Responsible for daily maintenance of vehicle to remain in proper and safe working order.
• Notify supervisor if vehicle needs to be repaired.
• Demonstrates safety first.
• Identify and turn in near miss reports.
• Speak up when sees unsafe act.

• Perform each Key Duty satisfactorily; reasonable accommodations may be made.
• Previous experience as a Broom Tractor or heavy equipment operator; not an entry‑level job.
• A high school diploma or GED preferred.
• Must understand work directions and communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues.
• 3 to 5 years of industry‑related experience, especially on roads, highways, and bridges.
• Physical demands include standing, stooping, bending, crouching, lifting up to 150 lbs with assistance, working with hands overhead, etc.
• Maintain constant alertness to multiple concurrent activities on the construction site.
• Frequently walk on uneven surfaces in varying weather.
• Capable of safely operating a man‑lift and climbing on/off heavy equipment.
• Work is performed outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Exposure to high noise, grease, dust, and substances like oil, gasoline, diesel, asphalt.
