Local church seeking a talented musician to fill an Assistant Music Director position. Strong leadership skills a must.
Qualified candidate must be able to read music proficiently and play various forms of service music to include hymns, anthems, praise and worship, Traditional and Contemporary gospels on the piano and organ.
Ability to train voices and build repertoire of appropriate selections are a must. Assist Music Director with the Adult choir in rehearsals as well as during worship service.
Must demonstrate the ability to work with youth/children choirs to train young voices and build repertoire of appropriate selections. Coordinate rehearsals and direct the Youth and Children choirs on the 2nd Sunday of the month for worship service.
Must demonstrate the ability to play along with assisting musicians. Choral directing skills are a plus.
