Are you looking to be part of an innovative team of professionals dedicated to telling South Carolina's diverse stories? As the storytellers of South Carolina, the South Carolina State Museum (SCSM) strives to share the rich natural and cultural diversity of the state through its permanent collections, programs, and exhibitions. The SCSM is the largest museum in South Carolina, stewarding over 1.1 million objects and specimens and welcoming 5 million+ visitors over its 37-year history.
The museum has embarked on a renovation of 150,000 square feet of its exhibition, programmatic and collection storage spaces occupying four floors of a historic 1890s textile mill on the National Register of Historic Places. Come be a part of our team "reimagining" what the South Carolina State Museum can be for our next generation of visitors, students, and scholars.
The IT CRM Administrator (Entry-Level) supports the museum's mission by assisting with the operation, maintenance, and user support of the museum's Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and ticketing/database systems. This position helps ensure accurate visitor, membership, and donor data; smooth ticketing and program registration processes; and reliable performance of key museum systems.
This role is an excellent opportunity for an early-career IT professional interested in nonprofit or cultural-institution technology. The Administrator works under the direction of the Director of Information Technology and collaborates with Visitor Services, Education, Development, Marketing, and other museum departments.

- Assist with documentation, user guides, and training materials.
- Participate in testing for system updates, new features, and upgrades.
- Support cross-departmental needs related to ticketing, membership, attendance data, donor information, and program registration.
A high school diploma and work experience in systems development and maintenance, technical support, or the support of database management systems. A bachelor's degree in a related field may substitute for the required experience.

The successful candidate will demonstrate reliability, initiative, and a strong interest in supporting the museum's mission and visitor experience. Some evening or weekend support may be required for special museum programs or events.
This position requires the ability to sit, stand, lift up to 50 lbs occasionally, and move between office and museum public spaces as necessary.
