Job Summary

Primary duties include:
  • Serves a part of an on-call team that answers and responds to calls on the 24/7 hotline for a designated period during business hours and after hours through the on-call rotation. On-call response time requires an ability to be in the Columbia campus area within 1 hour of receiving a call.
  • Provide confidential and comprehensive advocacy services that are empowerment-based and trauma-informed for primary and secondary survivors of interpersonal violence (sexual assault, relationship/intimate partner violence, stalking and harassment).
  • Functions as liaison for survivors with campus and/or community partners. Coordinates campus and community resources to support survivors including emergency housing, food, clothing, transportation, and other appropriate assistance.
  • Ensure data is up-to-date and in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Participate in regular professional development opportunities offered by campus, state, and national resources.

  • Knowledge of guidelines related to federal, local and state policies or laws surrounding relevant work, including Title IX and the judicial process on a college campus.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in health promotion/education, public health, social work, or related field
  • Master's degree preferred
  • Experience working with victims/survivors of interpersonal violence.
  • Preferred experience working in a college/university setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
