Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor (Open Rank) – Neuropsychologist, USC Brain Health Network
Job Summary:
The Neuropsychologist position will be a blend of direct patient care and participation as part of a multi‑disciplinary provider team in the USC Brain Health Network. This role plays a pivotal role in advancing research related to brain health and language recovery. The Neuropsychologist will be expected to contribute to both research and teaching activities within the department.
- Provide direct patient care and counseling services and consultation for patients referred to the USC Brain Health Network.
- Review clinical assessment data and make recommendations regarding patient care and care planning.
- Collaborate with Primary Care Physicians and Behavioral Neurologists to ensure that USC Brain Health Network patients receive optimal, coordinated care.
- Conduct innovative research in the field of neuropsychology focused on brain health and language recovery, utilizing neuroimaging tools and AI methodologies.
- Collaborate with colleagues within the department and across disciplines to foster a multidisciplinary research approach.
Education and Experience
- Ph.D. in Neuropsychology or a related field.
- Board Certification in Clinical Neuropsychology.
- Previous teaching experience at the university level.
- Experience in securing research grants.
- Familiarity with interdisciplinary research collaborations.
- Strong research background with a focus on brain health and language recovery.
- Proficiency in neuroimaging techniques.
- Proven track record of publications in peer‑reviewed journals.
- Effective communication and teaching skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team‑oriented academic environment.
