• Organize and implement an instructional program for academic success in accordance with Youth Challe
  
  NGe Academy policies.
• Develop and provide educational instruction in social studies, history, geography, American government, and humanities.
• Instruct pupils in citizenship and essential subject matter specified in state law and administrative regulations.
• Develop a balanced social studies program and adapt the curriculum to meet the needs of pupils with varying intellectual abilities and backgrounds.
• Plan lessons, assign and grade work, and lead classroom activities.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance and test scores/grades.
• Assess cadet accomplishments and provide progress reports as required.

• Bachelor’s Degree with a major in the subject area to be taught and necessary education courses required to teach in South Carolina.
• Experience working with high school students in an educational setting is desirable.

• Master’s Degree with a major in History or related field.
• Teacher’s certification.

Knowledge of state and federal laws, rules, and regulations relative to the area of responsibility. Ability to communicate effectively, written and orally. Ability to work in a stressful environment and keep composure.
