Campout & Logistics Coordinator (Summer 2026)

The camp has served boys and girls from throughout the region and the world since 1912, offering summer camps, retreats and specialty camps that celebrate outdoor adventure and community. YMCA Camp Greenville is seeking a cause‑driven leader to join our staff as the Campout & Logistics Coordinator. This individual will coordinate the logistical and programmatic needs for our campout program, ensuring the safety of all campout sites, delivery of materials, and proper packing for adventure trips. Under the support of the Adventure Division Leader, the goal is to create a safe, fun, magical, and educational experience during our campout/adventure activities.

Responsibilities- Responsible for managing all campout materials including cookware, utensils, camp stoves, and fuel.
- Maintain logs for gear used by camp staff.
- Deliver food and supplies to campout sites during use.
- Work with Adventure Division Leader on maintaining food ordering and inventory.
- Assist camp staff at campout sites with building fires, cooking food, and program activities.
- Ability to work with participants of all backgrounds.
- Create a magical experience for all campers/guests in the program area.
- Support cabin leader staff when not in program area and fill in for cabin leaders at times.
- Serve as a role model, upholding camp values, and working with integrity, creativity, and safety in mind always.
- Responsible for the health and well‑being of campers mentally, emotionally, and physically during their time at camp.
- Approach responsibilities in a fun, creative, enthusiastic, and professional manner.
- Adhere to policies related to boundaries with consumers.
- Attend/complete required abuse risk management training.
- Adhere to procedures related to managing high‑risk activities and supervising consumers.
- Follow mandated reporting requirements.
- Adhere to job‑specific abuse risk management responsibilities.
- CPR/First Aid Certified or willing to obtain by June 2026.
- Willingness to work on a team in support of the mission of camp.
- Ability to work with campers/guests of all backgrounds.
- At least age 20 by June 2026.
- Skills/knowledge of outdoor camping.
