Job SummaryThe Department of Pathology, Microbiology and Immunology at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine – Columbia invites applications from pathologists who have a major interest in medical education. This is a 12‑month, non‑tenure track faculty appointment.
Responsibilities- Teach pathology in the integrated organ system‑based curriculum.
- Develop and facilitate interactive/self‑directed learning, case‑based, team‑based, and small‑group sessions.
- Student mentoring, committee work, and participation in ongoing research programs.
- Patient‑care responsibilities are not required.
Education and Experience
- Earned M.D., D.O., D.V.M., and/or Ph.D. from an accredited institution.
- Experience in medical pathology education.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to collaborate with faculty, staff, students, and other personnel.
- Additional experience in interactive/self‑directed learning or case‑based education.
- Experience in team‑based or small‑group instruction.
- Ongoing research involvement.
