The faculty of the Department of Sociology at the University of South Carolina, Columbia campus, invites applications for a 9-month, full-time, tenure‑track position at the rank of Assistant Professor to begin August 16, 2026. We seek candidates with expertise complementary to our department’s focus area in inequalities broadly defined. Successful candidates will be expected to maintain an active program of research, teach, contribute to departmental service, and mentor graduate students in our Ph.D. program.
