We’re looking for an experienced Structural Engineer with 5-8+ years of experience to join our growing team! If you enjoy solving complex structural challenges, designing in all materials, leading design work, and collaborating with architects and builders, this role is built for you.

What You'll Do:
  • Lead and manage structural design projects for a healthy mix of commercial, industrial, residential, multi‑family and municipal clients.
  • Prepare and oversee structural engineering design plans in wood & timber, steel, CFS, CMU, reinforced concrete, etc.
  • Produce calculations, drawings, and technical reports.
  • Forensic investigations.
  • Coordinate with architects, planners, surveyors, permitting agencies, and internal engineering staff.
  • Review and seal plans, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Assist in project scheduling, budgeting, and task delegation.
  • Participate in client meetings and contribute to proposal development.
  • Mentor junior engineers and support staff.
What You Bring:
  • 5–8+ years of progressive experience in wood, steel, reinforced concrete, etc. structural design.
  • Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in South Carolina, at minimum.
  • Experience with commercial, mixed‑use development, residential infill and multi‑family.
  • Creativity and out of the box thinking for a‑typical projects.
  • Proficiency in engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, REVIT, RISA, ENERCALC, etc.) is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (required) with an emphasis in Structural;
    Master’s degree a plus.
  • Experience interacting with regulatory agencies and municipal staff.
  • Construction administration and field experience.
  • Strong understanding of local zoning codes, permitting processes, and utility design standards.
  • Effective communication, problem‑solving abilities, and teamwork skills.
