Bridge Inspector

What You Will Do

• Field Inspection and preparation.
• Willingness to work at heights.
• Willingness to work at night.
• Organize and enter inspector’s notes into the Bridge Management System (BMS).
• Prepare reports for submission.
• Take and convert measurements.
• Take and pass NHI 130055 Safety Inspection In-Service Bridges after 5 years of experience.
• Other duties may be assigned, but not limited to:
• Create folders for different districts.
• Keep track of inspection files for different projects.
• Communication with sub‑consultants on related tasks.
• Basic office duties.
• Maintaining file folder for different inspection projects.

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum: basic knowledge of computers and typing.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook).
• Actively engages multiple perspectives when solving problems, seeks to learn from peers, and encourages reciprocal learning among team members.
• Actively advocates for full inclusion in the workplace, fostering an environment that welcomes diversity and values equity for all employees, partners, clients, and the communities that Tran Systems serves.

• 5 years of documentable bridge inspection experience.
• NHI certification in the Inspection of Fracture Critical Bridges.
• Knowledge of Adobe, , Print Station, Better jpeg, and Google Maps.
• Knowledge of SCDOT BIO, Project Wise, Blue Beam, and Google Earth.

The salary range for this role is $25 to $29 per hour. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
