Job Summary:
We are seeking an Architectural Design Engineer (AE) to lead the architectural design of customized AC/DC Power Modules, IT Modules, and Data Centers across IT, Telecom, and Industrial markets. The AE will work closely with clients, internal teams, and manufacturing facilities to deliver high‑quality, code‑compliant designs. This role includes conceptual and detailed architectural design, coordination with multidisciplinary engineering teams, and participation in factory and site acceptance testing.
Key Responsibilities- Develop conceptual, schematic, detailed, and construction drawings for architectural aspects of data centers, telecom central offices, switching centers, and video hub offices.
- Ensure designs comply with local, state, and federal building codes, including occupancy classifications, ingress/egress, and safety requirements.
- Coordinate architectural designs with structural, electrical, thermal, mechanical, and controls engineers.
- Review and approve architectural product submittals and provide design support during fabrication and construction.
- Specify materials, finishes, and sizes to support fabrication and ensure quality.
- Conduct site and factory visits to validate designs, inspect workmanship, and perform engineering evaluations.
- Offer innovative, cost‑effective solutions while maintaining quality, reliability, and maintainability.
- Provide technical guidance to internal teams, clients, and vendors throughout project life cycles.
- Support on‑site module repairs and modifications as needed.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Architectural Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Professional Engineering (PE) license is a plus.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in architectural engineering.
- Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal codes for low‑voltage switch gear and data center facilities.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Autodesk Revit, and Microsoft Office.
- Experience reading and interpreting construction drawings and equipment specifications.
- Ability to research new designs, technologies, and construction methods.
- Excellent problem‑solving, project management, and leadership skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail.
- Ability to provide creative, “outside‑the‑box” solutions to design challenges.
