Contract opportunity as a LEU+ Civil Structural Field Engineer onsite at Columbia Fuel Facility in Columbia, SC.

• Assist the Construction Superintendent and Project Engineer by overseeing civil/structural construction progress, interpreting drawings, and collaborating with the team to address civil/structural issues and maintain quality standards.
• Conduct regular jobsite walk‑downs to ensure compliance with engineering requirements for the assigned discipline.
• Participate in design reviews for the assigned discipline.
• Prepare and submit regular reports on project progress, issues, and other relevant information for the assigned discipline.
• Demonstrate commitment to a safe, injury‑free workplace by enforcing safety protocols and addressing potential hazards in the field.
• Participate in regular jobsite project meetings and inspections as directed by the Construction Superintendent and Project Engineer.

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university in Civil/Structural Engineering or an equivalent field.
• 7 years of discipline‑related engineering experience, including at least 3 years in the nuclear industry.
• 3 years of technical project execution and/or field installation experience as a field engineer in the nuclear industry.
• Experience in an engineering, procurement and operations environment within the nuclear industry.
• Experience with construction methods and procedures.
• Knowledge of the theories, principles, practices and techniques for designing structures, piping and supports.
• Knowledge of rigging and handling practices, related standards, regulations, codes and directives, and how they are applied.
• Knowledge of construction codes as applied in the nuclear industry.
• Desire to exceed customers’ expectations in alignment with company goals.
• OSHA 30‑hour certification or an equivalent safety certification.
• Will hold and maintain a Security Clearance at a U.S. nuclear facility.

• Occasionally carry or lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must have full range of motion.
• Freely access all points of a construction site in varied environments.
• Must pass a Westinghouse physical exam, which includes a spirometer for respirator compatibility.

Base salary range: $57‑$67 per hour (dependent on experience, qualifications and skills).
