Eaton’s ES AMER ARSdivision is currently seeking aIndustry 4.0 Automation Specialist.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $113000- $165000a year.

The I4.0 Automation & Controls Engineer for the Electrical Sector America's (ES-A) will be part of the regional I4.0 Team. This team is responsible for leading the development of automated solutions for both new and existing process technologies in support of all ES-A manufacturing facilities.

Job responsibilities:

• Identify automation opportunities.
• Work with plants to develop automation roadmaps.
• Develop project scopes of work and specifications.
• Assist plants in the development of RFQ packages.
• Assist plants in the development of thier automation business cases.
• Manage portfolio of automation projects.
• Deploy automation solutions for Electrical Sector Americas (ES-A) plants.
• Ensures compliance of all new and revised manufacturing systems to Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) requirements (MESH 8.0).
• Participate in Eaton global technology councils.
• Develop and deploy technology playbook standards with the global tech councils.
• Develop a hopper of projects and required capital for annual profit plan.
• Drive accountability for project execution and deliverables.
• Train & mentor technical resources within ES-A.

Basic (Required)

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree from an accredited educational institution.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in automating manufacturing processes.

• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within the immediate geographical area of 50 miles of Charlotte, NC El Paso, TX or Columbia, SC will be considered. Technical knowledge:

• Broad manufactring process knowledge (Sheet Metal fabrication, Molding, Assembly, Wiring, Painting, Machining, etc.).
• Integration of Industrial robots.
• Integration of Autonomous Mobile Robots.
• Integration of Collaborative Robots.
• Capital project management.

• Able to manage multiple projects/programs simultaneously.
• Able to manage, lead, and influence business leaders without direct authority across regions, cultures, and businesses at different organizational levels.
• Strong problem solving and creativity skills.
• Experience with managing external consultants, suppliers, and tooling design/development companies.
• Must demonstrate high initiative (self-starter) and drive for results.
• Must have strong interpersonal communication and professional presence (able to communicate and present at all levels).
• Must effectively leverage resources and be able to get results via influence.
• Must be able to work in a matrixed environment dealing with the complexities of projects / programs that cross divisional / operational boundaries.
