Job Description Overview

PSI Molded is a leading manufacturer of high‑quality molded plastic products serving automotive, medical, consumer goods and other industries.

Job Summary

The Controller will oversee all financial and accounting activities at PSI Molded’s Marion manufacturing plant, ensuring accurate financial reporting, managing forecasting, and recommending improvements to support the company’s strategic goals. The Controller will work closely with the CFO and senior management to provide insightful financial analysis and recommendations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee all accounting operations, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger.
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with GAAP.
  • Lead and forecast ongoing financial performance.
  • Oversight and final processing of payroll approvals and recording the transactions.
  • Manage business transactions and analyze financial data, providing insights to support strategic decision‑making with strong cost and manufacturing variance analysis.
  • Manage daily treasury, cash reporting and tracking.
  • Calculate and support capital expenditure requests to improve the business.
  • Coordinate and manage external audits.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements.
  • Support special projects and initiatives as needed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years progressive accounting experience.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel expert).
  • Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, working with the management team to improve performance.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
