The division of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology at Prisma Health Children’s Hospital Upstate is seeking a pediatric neuropsychologist to join the hematology/oncology team.

The primary responsibilities include full neuropsychological evaluations for children referred by the hematology/oncology team, as well as cognitive screening evaluations to obtain baseline cognitive functioning for children beginning oncology treatment and for sickle cell disease patients. The neuropsychologist will work closely with the oncology and comprehensive sickle cell teams as well as the interdisciplinary psychosocial team consisting of a clinical psychologist, social workers, child life specialists, nursing, and nurse navigators.

School support and school liaison services, including working with the interdisciplinary School Intervention Program (SIP) to attend 504 and IEP meetings are expected, as well as participation in interdisciplinary clinics. Participation in data collection for COG treatment protocols and other research protocols is also expected. Research opportunities and collaboration exist, as well as opportunities for supervising psychology students, medical residents, and fellows.
