Job SummaryProvides advanced pre-hospital emergency care, including patient assessment, airway management, medication administration, and intravenous therapy. Responds to emergency and non-emergency situations, collaborates with healthcare professionals, and ensures accurate documentation of patient care.

Inspire health. Serve with compassion. Be the difference. - Assesses, treats, and transports patients in emergency and non-emergency situations according to established protocols.
- Provides advanced airway management, oxygen therapy, and medication administration within scope of practice.
- Operates emergency vehicles safely and efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and departmental policies.
- Maintains accurate and timely patient care reports and documentation.
- Participates in continuing education and training to maintain licensure and enhance clinical skills.
- Collaborates with healthcare professionals, law enforcement, and other agencies during all responses.
- Ensures all equipment, supplies, and vehicles are properly maintained, cleaned, and ready for operational use.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director, or executive.
Minimum Requirements- Education - High School diploma or equivalent OR post-high school diploma/highest degree earned.
- Experience - One (1) year Emergency Medical Technician experience. Basic (EMT-B) Pre-hospital care experience preferred.
Provisional Emergency Medical Technician - Advanced (EMT-A) certification from another Emergency Medical Service COMPACT State (EMS COMPACT) meets education and EMT-A certification requirements. Obtaining conventional State required certification and National Registry (NREMT) certification must occur within twelve months of hire.
Required Certifications, Registrations, Licenses- State or Provisional Emergency Medical Technician - Advanced certification
- BLS - Basic Life Support (CPR)
- A valid driver's license; an acceptable motor vehicle record, as defined by the Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) Chart.

- Ability to demonstrates skill proficiency on an annual basis
- Ability to maintain professional certifications and attends in-service / mandatory training programs
