An occ med clinic is seeking a Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner for locum tenens coverage.
About the Facility LocationCharleston gets its southern charm from its cobblestone streets, horse-drawn carriages, and antebellum houses.
About the Clinician's WorkdayThis position offers a Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. schedule with no call and is open to MDs or APPs. Providers typically see 20-25 patients per day, with a patient mix of approximately 90% occupational medicine and 10% urgent care. DOT certification is required prior to the first shift, and AllScripts is the EMR system used. In this locum role with Concentra, providers treat scheduled and walk-in work-related injuries and urgent care patients in an outpatient clinic, perform pre-placement, DOT, public safety, and surveillance physicals, complete in-office procedures, communicate with employers, and may collaborate with or supervise advanced practice providers.
Concentra provides a one-week orientation alongside a permanent physician, and providers usually remain at the same location for three-month assignments.
