Certified Medical Assistant needed for a contract opportunity with Yoh's primary care clinic located in Columbia, SC. This CMA will be responsible for member check in/out, appointment scheduling, vital signs, patient history, medication reconciliation, medication administration, point of care testing, and phlebotomy.
Schedule:
Mon-Thur 8AM-6:00 PM and Fri 8AM-12:00 PM
Duration: 1/19-4/10 with possible extension or direct placement
Pay: $19-24/hr, depending on experience
What You'll Be Doing:- Interviews patients, measures vital signs, such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height, and records information on patients' charts
- Prepares treatment rooms and patients for examination
- Cleans and sterilizes instruments
- Inventories and orders medical supplies and materials
- Operates electrocardiograph (EKG) and other equipment to administer routine diagnostic tests
- Gives injections or treatments and performs routine laboratory tests
- Schedules appointments and makes follow up phone calls to patients
- Performs administrative tasks, completes appropriate client company and OSHA regulated forms, and provides assistance at front desk
- Keys data into computer to maintain clinic and patient records
- May require other duties as assigned
- National Medical Assisting Certification
- BLS Certification upon hire
- Strong phlebotomy skills
- EPIC EMR experience, Primary Care experience, and Pediatric experience preferred
