American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab/EP Technologist with 2+ years of cath lab experience for an acute care hospital setting requiring BLS, ACLS, and RCIS certification.
Details- Acute care hospital Cath Lab unit with 304 staffed beds
- Rotating 4x10 hour day shifts and ), with shifts grouped weekly for consistency
- Team runs 4-5 labs per day with 2-3 cases per lab, averaging 20-25 cases daily
- On-call required one weekend (Fri-Sun) per 7 weeks, plus a weekly call shift and evening shift
- Holiday coverage as needed
- No floating between service lines or to sister facilities
- Uses EPIC charting system
- Performs diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab procedures including left/right heart catheterization, PCI, PTCA, cardiac stent placement, rotablator atherectomy, and Impella insertion
- Additional procedures may include embolization, IVC filter placement, and vascular studies/thrombolysis/thrombectomy
- Uses PACS, Fuji Vidistar, and MAC Lab equipment
- Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab experience required
- BLS and ACLS certification required
- RCIS (registered or in process) or ARRT certification required
- South Carolina license required if applicable
- Community hospital experience required
- EPIC charting experience preferred
- Proficient in coronary diagnostic and intervention scrubbing and monitoring
- Must have SSN available for consideration
- First-time travelers accepted depending on position needs
- Previous MUSC perm or PRN staff must be separated from the system for 1 year before returning as a traveler
- Hospital-issued scrubs provided for Cath Lab
- 60-mile local radius rule applies; local candidates considered on a case-by-case basis at a reduced rate
- All RTO must be submitted and approved at time of offer based on facility needs
- Block scheduling may be accommodated pending manager approval based on unit needs
- During hurricane season (June-November), staff may be assigned to emergency response teams
