Patient Transporter
The Patient Transporter safely transports patients throughout the facility while ensuring comfort, safety, and excellent customer service, supporting efficient patient care operations.
Maintains a professional image and exhibits excellent customer relations to patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers in accordance with our Service Excellence Standards and Core Values.
Responsible for transporting patients to and from various locations by bed, stretcher, or wheelchair.
Assists with the safe movement, transfer, positioning, and lifting of patients between beds, stretchers, chairs, examination tables, and other equipment as required.
Maintains cleanliness and availability of the transport equipment.
Utilizes and/or operates oxygen tanks that may need to accompany the patient.
Maintains patient comfort, safety, and privacy while transporting.
Notifies appropriate licensed personnel of patient arrival and/or return from various locations.
Communicates in an effective and efficient manner with all coworkers, patients, visitors, and physicians.
Maintains daily transport log/spreadsheet.
Performs additional duties as assigned to support departmental and organizational goals.
High school diploma or GED preferred. In lieu of high school diploma or GED, experience in a related field may be considered.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within first 90 days of employment.
