As a member of the Responsible for directing and overseeing all aspects of the organization's food and beverage planning and service, with duties to include menu planning and costs, preparation and presentation of food and drinks, and adherence to quality and safety standards.
Educate and train all team members in compliance with federal, state and local laws and safety regulations. Ensure staff is properly trained on quality and service standards, has the necessary tools and equipment, and is empowered to carry out job duties.
Manage day-to-day staffing requirements, plan and assign work, and establish performance and development goals for team members. Provide mentoring, coaching and regular feedback to help manage conflict and improve team member performance.
The ability to be visible in the operation, recognize and maintain relationships with regular guests as well as cultivate relationships with new patrons through effective marketing and personal relationships.
* We are looking for individuals who currently holds a Director of Food and Beverage title.
* Previous luxury resort/hotel experience - 5 to 7 years at the Department Head level.
* Solid knowledge of food & beverage, strong wine knowledge, creative, ambitious, and strong business acumen, work ethic and people-management skills.
* A college degree preferably specializing in hotel/restaurant management or business administration, or equivalent experience is required.
* Some travel is required for training, conferences and special events.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to remain calm under pressure and make effective decisions in emergency situations.
* Salary: $155,000- $170,000 and eligible for an annual performance incentive/bonus
