Job Title:

Systems Software Programmer — Project Lead

Location:

100% Remote (EST hours)

Contract Duration: 12 Months (Possible Extension)

Interview: 1 Round Virtual

Travel:
Up to 5 days quarterly to Columbia, SC

• Modernize legacy systems into ASP.NET MVC or .NET Core environments
• Perform design, coding, configuration, testing, debugging, and documentation
• Modify existing applications to meet security standards (NIST 800-53, FISMA, SC Info Sec)
• Support migration from older platforms to modern environments
• Update database connection strings to support DB2 → SQL Server migration
• Add new functionality to replace mainframe forms and streamline backend processes
• Monitor system performance, capacity, and support Tier-2 troubleshooting
• Ensure application compatibility in Chrome, Firefox, and IE
• Participate in full SDLC activities and follow agency IT standards
• Create and maintain system documentation, technical specs, and diagrams
• Work with project teams, SMEs, and leadership to deliver updates
• Use GIT for source code management
• Support reporting using RDLC, SSRS, and Power BI

• HR, Financial, or Administrative system experience
• Experience working with PI/PHI data security
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Ability to work collaboratively with teams and customers

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Technology, or related field
