Performance Testing Analyst – Core Technology Solutions
Seeking a Performance Testing Analyst for a long‑term contract (minimum 12 months) onsite in Columbia, SC. Security Clearance required; no C2C candidates or sponsorship offered—US Citizen or Green Card holders only.
What You Will Do In This Role:- A typical day involves planning and executing test cases for applications within the CMS Cloud (built on AWS).
- Testing will empower development and QA teams by simulating real‑world usage, uncovering performance issues, and ensuring scalable, reliable applications in modern cloud environments.
- Manage test plans, track execution, and document results, while JIRA is used to log defects and align testing tasks with Agile sprints.
- Collaborate with developers and business analysts in daily stand‑ups, using Confluence to maintain test documentation, user stories, and release notes.
- The role also includes validating application behavior in cloud environments, supporting compliance testing, and ensuring that all updates meet CMS security and performance standards before deployment.
- Additionally, complete supportive administrative and lead activities related to cloud testing and collect and analyze data for software process evaluation and continuous improvement.
- Their work is essential to maintaining the quality, reliability, and compliance of cloud‑based healthcare applications.
Work Experience:
6 years of development experience, including 4 years in performance testing and tuning.
Required Technologies:- Cloud‑hosted application(s) testing experience.
- Design, develop, and execute test strategies, test cases, and automate scripts using tools/platforms such as Apache JMeter, Blaze Meter, Load Runner Cloud, Selenium Web Driver, Selenium Grid, JUnit, TestNG, SoapUI, Postman, and Insomnia.
- Solid understanding of key performance indicators, metrics, and types of testing.
- Knowledge of performance monitoring tools.
- Identify, track, and manage bugs using Test Rail, JIRA/Confluence, or ALM.
- Understanding of AWS Cloud Watch Synthetics.
- Strong knowledge of lift‑and‑shift, re‑platforming, or cloud migration testing.
- Strong knowledge of REST/SOAP API testing, SQL, and test automation frameworks.
- Implement automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Git Hub, AWS Code Pipeline).
- Understanding of Dev Ops practices and helps in managing cloud‑based analytics pipelines and deployments.
- Experience with Git Hub Actions, version control, automated testing, and deployment of workflows.
- AWS services – Dynamo
DB, SNS, SQS, Step Functions, Artifact.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or another job‑related degree; or 4 years of job‑related work experience; or 2 years of job‑related experience plus an associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or another job‑related degree.
