Position Overview
:
Cloud Network Engineer responsible for designing, configuring, and maintaining secure, scalable cloud network infrastructures on Azure and AWS. The role supports hybrid environments, automates provisioning through IaC, and collaborates with security, Dev Ops, and application teams to optimize connectivity and performance.
- Monitor network performance and availability across Azure, AWS, and hybrid environments using tools such as Azure Network Watcher, Cloud Watch, and Solar Winds.
- Design and configure cloud network components—including virtual networks, subnets, VPNs, and load balancers—to ensure secure and efficient connectivity.
- Analyze logs, packet captures, and alerts to identify and remediate network issues; perform problem resolution and troubleshooting.
- Automate network provisioning and enforce consistency using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates.
- Develop and document technical standards, ensuring alignment with organizational policies and compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with security, Dev Ops, and application teams to support integrations, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and implement network changes.
- Provide design recommendations for new cloud network architectures and evaluate emerging technologies to support long‑term IT strategies.
Skills and Abilities
- Experience with cloud networking components such as Azure Virtual Network (VNet), AWS VPC, Route Tables, Network Security Groups (NSGs), VPN Gateways, and Load Balancers.
- Proficiency with VPN technologies for configuring and troubleshooting cloud and hybrid network environments.
- Knowledge of cloud monitoring and security tools (e.g., AWS Cloud Watch) for diagnostics and performance tuning.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates for automated provisioning.
- Agile Experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work well under pressure and as part of a team.
- Pay attention to detail.
- Experience with Cloud Automation & Scripting (Python, Power Shell, Bash).
- Ability to automate network configurations and monitoring tasks using scripting languages to improve efficiency and consistency.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or 4 years of related work experience; or 2 years of related experience plus an associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Required Work Experience8 years of technical experience with systems analysis, design, and/or programming; or other job‑related IT experience.

8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. (possible overtime when needed to meet project timelines) - Location:
Onsite is highly preferred but open to Remote.
USA residency requirement on background screening for this request. Contingent personnel who are foreign nationals must have resided in the US for at least three (3) of the last five (5) years prior to assignment to Company’s applicable government contract.
