Department: Department of Social Services (DSS) – Office of Information Technology

Scope of Project

The Department of Social Services (DSS) is seeking an experienced Systems Software Programmer – Consultant to support the design, development, and maintenance of enterprise-level systems. The consultant will work on Windows and web-based applications utilizing N-Tier architecture, supporting mission-critical DSS programs, including human services systems.

• Design, develop, and implement enterprise software systems using .NET technologies
• Build and maintain data-driven applications utilizing SQL databases
• Support Windows and web-based applications using N-Tier architectural patterns
• Work within Microsoft environments including MS Server, Visual Studio, and Team Foundation Server
• Participate in system enhancements, maintenance, and production support activities
• Collaborate with technical and business teams to support DSS system objectives

Required Skills:

• 10+ years of experience designing and implementing software systems using .NET
• 8+ years of experience developing data-driven applications using SQL
• 8+ years of experience building Windows/Web-based systems utilizing N-Tier architectures
• 5+ years of experience with Microsoft operating systems and supporting platforms (MS Server, Team Foundation Server, Visual Studio)

Preferred

Skills:

• Experience with child welfare or human services system design and development
• Experience with SACWIS / CCWIS requirements
