SAP Project Implementation Manager​/Specialist – Onsite in Columbia, SC

Why Is This Position Open: New Position – The SC DOT is in the process of retiring its legacy entire system using sap finance management modules that will be integrated into the SCEIS system.

Work Location: Fully Onsite (5 days in office).
Candidate Location: Candidate MUST be a SC resident. No relocation allowed.

• Work with the SCEIS director, Enterprise Project Manager, and SCEIS functional Team leads to develop and/or maintain project plans that will guide and assist the SCEIS team in supporting projects for the SC Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). the State Treasurer's office (STO).
• Work closely with the Finance and Treasury Team Leads and other staff to coordinate project timelines and plans to ensure coordination between SCEIS and other project resources.
• Responsible for overall coordination, status reporting, and stability of assigned projects.
• Coordinate communication with all areas of the enterprise that impact the scope, budget, risk and resources of the work effort being managed.
• Inform SCEIS Management Team of any potential risks and issues that may impact deadlines, milestones.
• Inform SCEIS management team of system development and/or implementation issues that may have significant impact on resources, costs, etc.
• At project conclusion, close out each project in a timely and orderly manner, with documentation of lessons learned and archiving of essential project documentation.
• Recommend project/portfolio management best practices for managing Treasury and FI Projects.

• Microsoft Project
• SAP Project Management
• SAP implementation experience

• SAP FINANCE and Treasury Mgmt Modules and integration experience
• Process mapping (MS Visio)
• Azure Dev Ops (ADO)
• Agile Methodology

Bachelor’s Degree in related Field and 5+ years of SAP implementation/project management experience.

PMP or other PMI project management related certification.

In-person or Teams/phone interviews are acceptable. Admin/SCEIS management team will conduct interviews. As soon as qualified applications are available.
