Software Engineer, Platform – Columbia, USA
Pay Range$57.35/hr
Responsibilities- Design, build, and maintain scalable cloud‑native applications aligned with enterprise architecture standards
- Develop and update code using Python, Java, Node.js, or related technologies
- Deploy serverless solutions using AWS Lambda or Azure Functions
- Define and manage cloud infrastructure using Terraform (IaC)
- Integrate cloud services such as API Gateway, S3, Dynamo
DB, Cosmos DB - Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate testing and deployments
- Containerize applications using Docker and deploy to Kubernetes‑based environments when needed
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize system performance using Cloud Watch, Datadog, or similar tools
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and contribute to technical documentation
- Provide guidance on cloud best practices and standards
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field OR 4 years of job‑related work experience OR 2 years of job‑related experience plus an Associate's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
- 6 years of experience in application development, systems testing, and other related IT experience
- Hands‑on cloud experience with AWS or Azure, including lift‑and‑shift or re‑platforming cloud migration projects
- Dev Sec Ops experience in cloud environments
- Full‑stack Java / Java EE development
- JavaScript frameworks and modern web development
- CI/CD pipeline implementation using Jenkins, AWS Code Pipeline, Git Lab CI
- Cloud platform expertise (AWS or Azure) with IAM, EC2, S3, RDS, Aurora, VPC, Lambda, Cloud Watch, Cloud Trail, API Gateway, Dynamo
DB, Azure Functions, App Services, Cosmos DB - Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform and AWS Cloud Formation
- Agile experience using Jira and Confluence
- Monitoring & observe‑ability tools:
Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, Cloud Watch, Azure Monitor - Containerization and orchestration:
Docker, ECS, EKS, Fargate, Kubernetes - Hands‑on proficiency with Python
- Cloud certifications (AWS or Azure)
