PC​/Network Coord

Position Summary

Install hardware and software for standalone and networked personal computers. Troubleshoots hardware and software to resolve problems. Completes appropriate documentation for installation and problem resolutions. Install and configures hardware and software for other systems. Hardware such as Meditech terminals, printers, modems, scanners, etc. Troubleshoots equipment for systems to resolve problems. Completes the appropriate documentation for installation and problem resolutions. Works with other departments and external contacts to support system operations.

Contacts appropriate vendors for assistance in solving problems. Responsible for providing software support for hospital personal computer systems. Follows Providence Hospitals  Mission, Vision, and Values.

• Install hardware and software for standalone and networked personal computers.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software to resolve problems and complete necessary documentation for installations and problem resolutions.
• Install and configure hardware and software for other systems (e.g., Meditech terminals, printers, modems, scanners).
• Troubleshoot equipment for systems to resolve problems and maintain documentation of resolutions.
• Collaborate with other departments and external contacts to support system operations.
• Contact appropriate vendors for assistance in solving problems.
• Provide software support for hospital PC systems and adhere to Providence Hospitals  Mission, Vision, and Values.

• Education
  : AS in Computer Science, Electronics or equivalent.
• Professional Experience
  :
  Minimum two years’ experience in PC Networking in a Microsoft network environment. Must have an excellent knowledge of personal computer hardware and software. Experience in both standalone and LAN-based PC applications including experience with Windows 2000/XP, Microsoft Office, Exchange, PC utilities and various other types of applications. Experience providing hardware support for Meditech Clinical System. Experience installing, maintaining and troubleshooting various types of hardware such as modems, terminals, scanners, term servers, hubs, etc.
