Statistical Programming Analyst III

Columbia, SC

Apply via Dice today! Hansen Talent Group is seeking a Statistical Programming Analyst III to support a project in a large enterprise in Columbia, SC. This role focuses on statistical reporting, data analysis, and programming to support Medicare Part A/B and RRB claims reporting. The analyst will work closely with internal teams, external vendors, and CMS to ensure accurate, insightful, and timely reporting in a highly regulated environment.

Responsibilities
  • Develop complex statistical analyses using standard, ad hoc, and data mining techniques.
  • Design, build, and maintain database programs to extract, manipulate, and present data.
  • Execute monthly standard/routine reporting following data warehouse table updates.
  • Create ad hoc reports in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop complex sampling methodologies and perform statistical interpretation.
  • Prepare charts, visualizations, and narrative reports explaining patterns and trends.
  • Validate data integrity and perform quality checks on relational database tables.
  • Assist with system lifecycle maintenance, change requests, and testing plans.
  • Research new data sources and provide findings to leadership.
  • Contribute to internal and external publications and documentation.
Qualifications
  • Statistical programming or statistical interpretation experience.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Experience performing statistical analysis through programming (not manual analysis).
  • Ability to explain complex data findings to non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Strong documentation and written communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing tools, systems, and requirements.

  • Microsoft Office, SQL, statistical programming (SAS and/or Python).
