The contractor will be part of the agency’s Data Visualization Systems Team and will perform analysis, design, coding, testing, documentation, implementation, modification, and upgrades of computer systems that support health services. The role focuses on Power
BI initiatives, advanced data visualization, mentoring junior developers, and supporting public health infrastructure initiatives.
- Analyze, design, develop, test, document, implement, modify, and upgrade agency computer systems supporting health services
- Integrate and monitor backend system processes and solutions
- Remediate and resolve customer-reported issues
- Support agency-wide Power
BI initiatives and mentor junior developers - Develop advanced Power
BI dashboards, including KPI-driven visualizations - Create and maintain data models to support fiscal-year calculations, expenditure rollups, and executive decision-making
- Develop dashboards that support reporting accuracy and auditing capacity
- Produce monthly architecture snapshots, including workflow diagrams, backend schemas, and operational dashboard enhancements
- Maintain technical documentation, definitions, and data dictionaries as requested by agency leadership
- Work in a team environment to implement, maintain, and provide technical support for assigned applications, including Power BI and Tableau
- Ensure systems integrate with the agency’s electronic document management system (EDM) and geographic information systems (GIS)
- Adhere to information technology application development standards
- Collaborate with data analysts, system integration staff, and program areas to ensure appropriate visualization of data
- Develop and oversee dynamic dashboard reporting and underlying data connections
Prepare and maintain system and administrative documentation - Perform other duties as assigned
- 3+ years of experience with Power BI
- 3+ years of experience with technical documentation
- 1+ year of experience with Project Management
- 1+ year of experience with Data Modeling
- Experience with Graphic Design
- Experience with Python
- Experience with SQL
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field OR equivalent work experience
