Production Manager

Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Salary: $108,000 - $137,000 annually

Status: Full-Time | Exempt

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Production Management Manager to oversee production planning, material control, procurement, inventory management, logistics, and customs compliance within an automotive manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of materials, supporting production demands, maintaining inventory accuracy, and driving operational efficiency across the plant.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead daily, weekly, and monthly production planning activities to support customer demand and plant operations.
• Manage production schedules, engineering changes (EO/ECN), BOM accuracy, and ERP/MES master data.
• Oversee procurement activities, supplier performance, purchase orders, and inventory replenishment strategies.
• Ensure material availability while maintaining optimal inventory levels and minimizing excess stock.
• Manage warehouse operations, inventory control, cycle counts, FIFO compliance, and material flow.
• Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics, transportation providers, and freight activities.
• Ensure compliance with import/export regulations, customs requirements, and trade compliance standards.
• Monitor KPIs related to production output, inventory accuracy, downtime, supplier performance, quality, and cost.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on operational efficiency, cost reduction, and supply chain performance.
• Supervise and develop production planning, material control, and systems personnel while supporting cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in automotive manufacturing, production planning, material control, or supply chain management.
• 3+ years of leadership or management experience.
• Strong knowledge of ERP systems (SAP preferred) and MES platforms.
• Experience working with OEM customers and managing engineering changes.
• Strong communication, analytical, leadership, and problem‑solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

• Experience supporting new vehicle launches and production ramp‑ups.
• Knowledge of global automotive supply chain operations.
• Manufacturing plant and office setting.
• Frequent interaction with production teams and suppliers.
• Exposure to industrial equipment and manufacturing operations.
