Title:

Lab Technician C

Position Objective:
Responsible for the accurate testing and analysis of all film products in accordance with established procedures and specifications.

• High School Diploma or GED
• A two-year technical degree or 4-year college degree along with a strong background in chemistry is desired and would be a plus
• Good computer skills
• Weekends and evening work are required
• Have the ability to analyze data
• Consistency and meticulous attention to detail is necessary for providing both repeatability and reproducibility in testing
• Lab experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus
• Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary
• Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions

• Understand Plant Safety Rules and Practices
• Basic principles of thickness testing
• Basic treatment testing
• Basic principles of all other offline lab testing
• Able to fill out required shift paperwork and reports
• Record electronically stored data into databases
• Complete basic quality checks for roll fitness for use and proper grading per work instructions
• Demonstrate basic troubleshooting skills and communicate well with Production

• Manufacturing Environment
• Ability to work in varying temperatures (cold and hot)
• Loud noise
